Energy MAP is a step-by-step guide to creating a best practice action plan for your business. The 20 steps of Energy MAP are divided into the five pillars of an energy management system: Commit, Identify, Plan, Take Action and Review. Sites with an energy spend of greater than €30,000 PA will be given an on-site energy assessment, report and 3-month follow on support, Sites with an energy spend of less than €30,000 will receive telephone support, a report and 3-month follow on support.
What’s involved in Energy MAP? The effort required to manage energy effectively will vary depending on company size, energy costs and energy intensity. John uses tariff audits, awareness training and load optimisation to reduce kWh charges. Focusing on process control and optimisation of utilities (compressed air, steam/hot water boilers, chilled water/refrigeration) he reports energy savings opportunities that are bespoke, achievable and economically sound. John keeps abreast with changing energy efficient technology in Lighting, HVAC, Motors, Insulation, Heat-exchangers, via membership of professional institutions and by attending trade shows and conferences. Current clients are from the food/drinks, building products, electronics, hospitality, retail, health and education sectors.
